Blog Poll #35 Results Cats vs Dogs
Blog Poll #35 was simple, and yet an age old battle...
The question was simple, "Cats or Dogs?"
This is a poll that was conducted on behalf of my nephew...he was hoping to see cats prevail, but as you can see the dogs edged them out...likely by a nose.
Here are the final results:
We had 171 Voters and it was a very tight race with the Dogs taking home a 23 Vote, 13% Win.
I honestly think you could post this same poll again and get a different result each time...
I very well may do that now that I think about it, lol.
Anyway, for any cat folks who are bummed out about the loss, remember...you've got LOLCats!
Thanks to everyone who voted!

Blog Poll #34 Results: Wii U Purchases
Blog Poll #34 asked, "Wii U: What Are You Buying?"
The choices were:
-Wii U 8 GB Basic (White)
-Wii U 32 GB Deluxe (Black)
-Want It for a Christmas or Birthday Gift
-Waiting for a Price Drop
-Don't Want It
We had a very solid 251 votes...here is how it broke down:
-Don't Plan to Buy: 98 Votes, 39%
-Wii U 32 GB Deluxe: 55 Votes, 21%
-Want it for Christmas or a Birthday Gift: 48 Votes, 19%
-Waiting for a Price Drop: 40 Votes, 15%
-Wii U 8 GB Basic 10 Votes, 3%
I realized a potential flaw in the selections shortly after creating the poll, but once someone has voted it is all or nothing...you can't go in and "edit" choices. Ideally folks would pick the choice that is most likely what they will do, however some could misinterpret "Don't Plan to Buy" for "it'll be a gift etc." That may or may not have been the case, but I certainly didn't expect that to out weigh "Want it for a Christmas or Birthday Gift."
Nonetheless, that is how things panned out. It looks like the vast majority of you (roughly 153 Voters) are either already on board with the Wii U, hoping to get it shortly, or are anxiously awaiting to be surprised with it or wind up with the necessary fundage to bring one home.
I have to say I've enjoyed mine, despite only logging around 3-4 hours of play time...I've been that busy and I really am focusing on the Giants playthrough.
Thanks to everyone who voted! If you are reading this you can add or follow me on Miiverse by searching for...
You guessed it...

I'm not on much and my internet connection failed with the Wii, so how well I pan out on Miiverse remains to be seen...I'm not on much, but feel free to follow me or add me etc.

Blog Poll #30 "Skyward Sword Issues" Results
Blog Poll #30 was a change from the norm...it basically just sought your opinion on how to proceed with the issues I was having recording The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
Just for the sake of being thorough, I specifically asked, "Your Take on the Skwyward Sword Tragedy?"
And here are the results:
We only had 47 votes, which is very, very low. I can either assume people just aren't interested in it, or the nice showing who voted for Skyward Sword to be recorded next (previous poll) aren't on the blog as much etc. Either way, it is a decent sampling for a relatively uninteresting question, so let's over analyze it!
"Scrap it and Start a New Game" took the cake with 46% (22) of the vote.
I have to say I am kind of surprised as I thought more would have wanted to see a different save file etc. Or it could be that after listening to all my horror stories on trying to record the game, you just exercised common logic and foresaw the same thing happening.
"Edit and Upload...Go from there" came in second with 11 votes, or 23%.
This is actually a middle ground choice. It isn't saying to ditch it, or start over to have it perfect, but rather.."hey, you recorded it...regardless of any issues it'll still be a playthrough and might help someone out etc."
"Try a New Save File" was third with 8 votes, or 17%.
I thought this one would have been a bit more popular, but I can see the more selected options taking top honors given they are basically "Kill it..Different Game" and "Upload and Hope for the Best." This is kind of the polar opposite of killing it, as those who really want to see the game would likely want it as enjoyable as possible to view (which means scrapping the already glitched recordings).
"See if Part 8 Glitches" took home 6 Votes and an overall 12% showing.
I just kind of tossed this one out there and I suppose those who picked it are eternal optimists banking on the first 7 parts just being unfortunate. Can't argue with the view point there, lol.
"Upload without Commentary" got 0 Votes!
I didn't think this one would be the top outcome, but was surprised it was at the bottom. I'll just be smug and assume it is because people either like hearing me ramble on, want insight, or just relate to someone saying "what the heck do we do now?"
So, what is the verdict?
I am still undecided. I will (when time allows) continue to play this game...July was like a lost month in terms of progress and I'm honestly looking at like 6-8 weeks of lag between Part 7 and what could be Part 8. I'll probably fire it up and see what happens, although based on 7 in a row having issues recording the game, I am banking this one does too. IF THAT HAPPENS, I'll probably shelve this one for now. If I get time between Mario Kart Wii, Mario Party 9, and Giants coming out I may insert a new, quick playthru. I'll likely pick Skyward Sword back up this winter when things have slowed down (and Giants is wrapped up) and complete it...I'll also try recording it, but I'm not too optimistic about it working...
Like I've said, I have never had that much trouble recording a game before. There is usually lag at some point (starting, or during gameplay with quick motion etc), but never multiple times like I had with Link and Zelda. It kills not only the enjoyment of watching the game unfold, but also commentary as I can never sync more than maybe 2 minutes out of a recording session....It is really just unfortunate it went down this way.
That said, I will try Part 8 and let that ultimately decide the fate. If it syncs I will continue on and then re-record 1-7 on another save file. If it just becomes clear I can't do much, I'll try a game log to help people out and see how that pans out. I had enjoyed the game and I think will continue to enjoy it given the right circumstances.
Stay tuned for more updates and again I offer my apologies to those who really wanted to see Skyward Sword.

Skylanders Battle Tournament
Well, here it is, the little "project" I have long teased about...A Skylanders Battle Tournament!!
Don't get too excited, I'm not sure how people will take this one...It could either bomb or turn out to be very popular. I am obviously hoping for the later, but even if it isn't a smash hit, I think a few of you will enjoy it and I figure we will make the most of it and see it out to the very end.
Here is the video to explain things in more detail:
As you very well know, I can't record Single Player Battle Mode footage simply because there is no single player option...I'm not quite sure what the logic was in that...maybe it is too daunting, idk...I really hope that we see that addition for Giants. Even if it isn't spot on, or at the level of say Super Smash Bros. Brawl, I would think as widely popular as it has been they might dial it in...As things currently sit, I and many others, seldom even get the chance to enjoy Battle Mode.
So with that in mind, this is the next best thing I could come up with, lol. I really think if it is given a chance it could be pretty enjoyable, and possibly even become a regular series with different scenarios or weights (ie dragons, elemental grudge matches, home field for Earth etc).
The way these "battles" will work rely entirely on you!
If you recall the big poll I did for "Who is Your Favorite Skylander?" you might think this order looks familiar...it should, because I set up this 1-32 Bracket based entirely off of who you voted your favorites.
The bracket itself basically consists of 4 Tiers of 8 Skylanders that comprise the 32 player field. They are broken down 1-Warnado, 2-Camo, 3-Wham-Shell, and 4-Sunburn. Warnado will have the easiest time getting to the finals since the lowest seed after him is #8 Spyro. Juxtaposed to that we have #4 Sunburn facing the biggest challenge to reach the finals since he has the #5 Ignitor lurking in the bracket below.
I will try to get a pic of the bracket up soon, but you can see it pretty well in the video.
Right now, I am thinking of running the polls for 2 Week Intervals. If we decide to run longer, we will adjust on the fly. You can find the 16 1st Round Polls on the Right Hand side of the Blog, just below the Twitter Feed.
I have the ordered 1-1, 1-4, 1-2, and then 1-3, to basically replicate the "bracket" layout.
All you need to do is vote for you favorite, or who you think would win...tell your friends...and monitor the results. There are already some pretty interesting matchups between pretty even characters.
Things may have changed since the "Who is Your Favorite" poll, or certain people might feel #32 Boomer would decimate #1 Warnado and thus shake the bracket up with a big upset.
I wish I could record Battle Mode footage, but this is honestly the best concept I could come up with...I have had the idea for a LONG TIME, but wanted to get all the main video installments up before side tracking into this one...
Feel free to let me know what you think...whether you like it, or hate it...Also feel free, assuming you like it, to throw out ideas you'd like to see for "future tournaments" etc. I will probably video the "results" and then announce the "next round matchups" etc.
Like I've said, this could be well received or not really taken seriously. I can certainly see a lot of potential in it and hope you will enjoy it, vote, and spread the word...The more votes, the tighter the matchups...and that makes for much more interesting outcomes!
Will Warnado battle Camo for the Championship, or will upsets happen and we see Double Trouble vs Trigger Happy? The only way to find out is to vote, spread the word, and follow along. I am looking forward to the outcomes and will offer up my synopsis after each battle's results are announced.
So what are you waiting for? Vote now, tell your friends, have some fun, and pull for your favorite Skylander to emerge victorious!

Skylanders Battle Tournament!

Blog Poll #27: Mario Kart Wii
Blog Poll #27 asks, "What Do You Want to See in the Mario Kart Wii Playthrough?"
I got this up last night, but we've already had a few votes...you can vote, or better yet, comment here with what you'd like to see...I'll try to deliver on it.
-Quick & Casual
-Win Each Cup 50cc-100cc-150cc
-All Unlockables
-Everything
So, it is hard to paraphrase this into a poll question, but I think you get the jest of it. I basically just want to know what you would like to see...you can even post a comment here to let me know better what it is.
-Quick & Casual
This would basically just be going thru the game. If I get Silver in the Shell Cup and unlocked the next one, I would just go play it.
-Win Each Cup 50-100-150cc
Just like it says. If I got Silver in the Shell Cup, I would go back, replay, and repeat until I get Gold.
-All Unlockables
Instead of just getting Gold in each 50cc Cup, I would have to get a 1-Star Ranking to unlock Baby Daisy etc.
The same would go for bikes etc.
-Everything
This is technically the same as above, but I wasn't sure if people would distinguish them so I figured "everything" was a nice catchall term.
If you want me to just play 100cc and win, I can do that.
If you want a full playthru where I go from the base characters up to Mii Outfit B I would like to know.
I am really wanting to get started on some other stuff, but as I've said before, I wanted to do Mario Kart Wii when I bought the stuff to record, so this was just a matter of time...the fact it blew away the "What Would You Like to See Next" poll just prompted the playthru that much more.
I won't be recording the ultra shortcut, shortcuts, or likely any online play (I get disconnected all the time thanks to our ISP). This is actually why I quit playing back in the day...I'd play online almost daily with some friends and then it got to the point I was just getting things set up, or waiting to take off from the starting line and I'd be disconnected. It wasn't fun for me or my friends.

Blog Poll #25: Which Skylanders Adventure Pack and AP Character is Your Favorite?
Blog Poll #25 technically consists of 2 Polls. It is also really hard to title without being extremely redundant. That said, what I came up with was the best at the time, lol.
This one should be very interesting and to give everything a fair shot (ie Dragon's Peak and Empire of Ice still being pretty hard to come by), I have left it open for over a month. This should give us some very solid vote totals to analyze.
We first want to look at, "Which Adventure Pack is Your Favorite?"
-Darklight Crypt
-Dragon's Peak
-Empire of Ice
-Pirate Seas
Yeah, this is going to be tough to pick...
We will then counter that with, "Which Adventure Pack Character is Your Favorite?"
-Ghost Roaster
-Slam Bam
-Sunburn
-Terrafin
Even tougher is it not?
That is also reason for leaving it open. I have also noticed that a lot of the time the "new" or "hot" item tends to dominate. For example if I was doing "Who is Your Favorite Life Element Skylander?" right now, folks would be more inclined to Zook it up instead of considering an old favorite, or giving consideration to a future release.
By letting the poll run this long I really just hope that more of you can get the Adventure Pack(s) you are missing and will give it an honest vote. By having it divided between chapter and character, someone that loves Slam Bam, but didn't like Empire of Ice can vote for each unbiased.
I am really looking forward to monitoring this poll and hope that you will spread the word and tell your friends so we can have a really high vote count. I think this could be one of the tightest polls we wind up running for Skylanders.

Blog Poll #23 Results: Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Life Element Skylanders?
Blog Poll #23 asked, "Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Life Element Skylanders?" and we had a nice 60-70 vote total for each (the poll was only open a week).
Here are the results:
Once more, no surprises...readers definitely seem to prefer upgrading the primary attack.
Stealth Elf led the way with 78 total votes and sported a +34 margin for Pook Blade Saint.
Stump Smash's Smash'N'Bash was +52 over Nut Crafter.
Zook, who not a lot of us would have had when the poll closed, sported a +44 for his Artilleryman. I could see a few people honestly liking the Floral Defender route, but the question of course is will the base Floral Defender be weak enough and the promise of the Artilleryman path be marginal enough for folks to follow through.
Camo is the real wild card here as none of us have him. Note that Melon Master was the Primary Attack despite it being listed second. That didn't catch anyone off guard by the looks of the votes, however he was only +14. I'm sure we'd get a better sampling if there were some gameplay vids folks could consult...and of course, first hand experience can not be beat.
But, as you can see, the Life Element Skylanders seem to be another segment that is overwhelmingly preferred on the Primary Attack Upgrade Path.
Thanks to all who voted!

Blog Poll #24: Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Fire Element Skylanders?
Blog Poll #24 asks, "Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Fire Element Skylanders?"
This will actually wrap up this series of polls as the Fire Element brought up the rear in the first "What is Your Favorite Element" poll we ran back in the day. You can find these 4 polls just below the Twitter feed on the RH Side of the blog.
The Fire Element Skylanders are:
-Eruptor
-Flameslinger
-Ignitor
-Sunburn
I know some of you may not have Ignitor yet or are still working on tracking down Sunburn, but again I feel like the Spyro wiki, a few fan sites/forums, and of course YouTube will help you figure out what you'd prefer for those characters.
The GOOD NEWS is that for once I can say, "If you don't have them, keep your eyes peeled as they were just released!"
Ignitor single packs are very tough to find, but if you have a 3DS that is a non-issue as he has been around since the beginning...I'm actually surprised they took this long to package him separately. Sunburn is of course the Skylander you obtain with Dragon's Peak...
As of right now, Toys'R'Us is the only retailer able to sell Dragon's Peak (30 Day Window), and I would advise you to monitor their website and ask managers when your store will get them in etc. Otherwise, just wait it out until it goes to Walmart/Target and save some cash.
I'll let this poll run 10 days to hopefully give folks more time to find Ignitor and Sunburn. The poll will close April 9th, 2012 at 11:59 PM CST. Thanks in advance for sharing your opinion!

Blog Poll #21 "Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Water Element Skylanders?"
Blog Poll #21 asked, "Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Water Element Skylanders?"
Here are the results:
Here are the results:
There isn't a lot to say for this one, it is almost entirely one-sided in the primary attack being the preferred route. The only exception is Gill Grunt. His Waver Weaver, secondary attack, came very close to being 50/50 with his main attack.
Also, keep in mind that Wham-Shell is not out yet, so we had to vote there based on speculation from the info that is available.
Blog Poll #20 Results "Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Earth Element Skylanders?"
Blog Poll #20 asked, "Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Earth Element Skylanders?"
Here are the results:
Here are the results:
Once more we see the primary attack upgrade being the route of choice. It was very clear cut with Dino-Rang and Prism Break, while Bash's upgrade were a bit closer.
Interestingly enough, Terrafin, much like Ghost Roaster, came through with Sandhog being preferred over Brawler. This of course speeds up his burrowing and allows him to damage enemies while burrowing. I think this is another case where the secondary attack really improves the character. His punches are already powerful enough, imo anyway, and letting him turn the burrow into a quick safe-haven where he can lauch mini-sharks and cut up enemies with his dorsal fin is awesome. I think it really sets him apart. It is very much defensive, but with the speed and attack as an added bonus.
Blog Poll #19: Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Undead Element Skylanders?
Blog Poll #19 asked, "Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Undead Element Skylanders?"
Here are the results:
Here are the results:
This one was a bit interesting, rather than just have the primary upgrade path checked off in each box, we had a bit of deviation here.
Ghost Roaster's Skull Master upset the trend, and I have to say that it is what I personally selected and I could not be happier. Interestingly it was 47:25 for the final vote which mirrored Hex's 47:25 in favor of Shade Master.
Chop Chop was the most decisive, I suppose in part because his upgrades are so distinct between pure offense and pure defense. I actually plan to upgrade Legendary Chop Chop with the defensive path just for the heck of it.
Cynder was fairly close, and I thought she might have had a chance to come in, but we once again saw that the overall sentiment is that the primary attack upgrade is the way to go.
Ghost Roaster's Skull Master is very impressive and it is easy to see the deviation from the norm.

Blog Poll #16 Results: Which Version of Spyro is Your Favorite?
Well, the poll has closed and the results are in...I am debating if I shouldn't have let this one run a little longer, but I suppose it would have continued on a similar course.
Blog Poll #16 asked, "Which Version of Spyro is Your Favorite?" and allowed three options:
A). Regular Spyro (Purple with Bronze Wings)
B). Legendary Spyro (Royal Blue with Gold Wings)
C). Dark Spyro (Black with Silver Wings)
Here are the results:
1. Dark Spyro 36 Votes (42%)
2. Legendary Spyro 31 Votes (36%)
3. Regular Spyro 17 Votes (20%)
I have to say I did not expect this. I did foresee it as a potential outcome, but deemed it unlikely.
I think I personally would have ranked them the same. Dark Spyro just slightly above Legendary Spyro. My logic goes by rarity and aesthetics. While the blue and gold looks good, if there would have been a blue/silver I don't care if it was called Garden Variety Spyro I would have picked it #1. I'm one to root for the under dog so I kind of pull for Dark Spyro. You really don't hear much about him. I know of very few people that play the 3DS version, so I figured Legendary Spyro would have pulled out the win. Perhaps this is another case where a Skylander that people don't have just seems more appealing?
Nonetheless, I've got all 3 and would rank them as the poll did.
I do kind of feel for Spyro. He was the franchise, the all star player, and in Skylanders he is just kind of an option. Imagine a Mario game where Mario and Luigi are just playable characters along with 30 others...Nonetheless, these are all variations of him so I can't be too upset.
Dark Spyro for me looks awesome and is the most appealing. I guess I'm not alone in that regard.
Thanks to everyone who voted...be sure to cast your vote in the upgrade path polls for Tech and Undead Element Skylanders! Once Dragon's Peak has been out awhile (provided activision and TRU stock it all the time and don't pull more "limited stock to create higher demand tactics") I"ll get a sweet poll up on Your Favorite Adventure Pack Skylander...it will be tight no doubt!

Blog Poll #19: Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for Undead Element Skylanders?
Blog Poll #19 asks, "Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for (insert Undead Element Skylander here)?" This one is set-up just like it was for the Magic and Tech Element Upgrade Path Polls. I'm running all 4 characters at the same time and you can vote for all 4 of the Undead Element Skylanders with the polls being located just below the Twitter Feed.
The poll will run 5 days, closing at 11:59 PM CST on March 12th, 2012.

Blog Poll #15 Results: Magic Element Skylander Upgrade Paths
Blog Poll #15 "Which Upgrade Path Do You Prefer for (insert Magic Element Skylander here)?" has now wrapped up.
This was started as a request from Daphney on Twitter regarding Double Trouble, and I figured since it was going up, we just as well start this sequence for all characters. I will be running 2 at a time (next up is Tech and Undead) and the order is determined by how you voted in the "What is Your Favorite Skylanders Element?" poll. If you wondered, Daphney will go by your votes to pick her upgrade path for Double Trouble.
So, with that said, let's take a look at the results:
Double Trouble
-Channeler 48 Votes (64%)
-Conjuror 27 Votes (36%)
This was a pretty decisive win. It looks like most of you prefer Double Trouble's Channeler Path. I have not gotten him up to that point, but should soon.
Spyro
-Sheep Burner 42 Votes (67%)
-Blitz Spyro 20 Votes (32%)
This was another clear cut victory. Those participating clearly prefer what upgrading the primary attack does over going with the secondary path.
Voodood
-Elementalist 35 Votes (72%)
-Marauder 13 Votes (27%)
Shazaam! Huge win for Elementalist at a nearly 3:1 margin. It also appears that Voodood is the least popular, or least owned Magic Element Skylander as this poll only accounted for 48 votes, roughly 2/3 of the top vote getter.
Wrecking Ball
-Total Tongue 33 Votes (55%)
-Ultimate Spinner 26 Votes (44%)
Now this was a race! Wrecking Ball pulled in a few more votes than Voodood and had almost as many as Spyro, which means there are either a lot of Wrecking Ball fans, or he has been easy to obtain. Total Tongue won out by a mere 7 votes. I must confess, I have still used Wrecking Ball for a total of about 10 minutes. I have heard that he upgrades well and reminds some people of Kirby, but I just haven't spent much time with him yet. I can say that I would likely go with his Total Tongue as I feel his secondary attack was weak, just like Hex, and wouldn't care to upgrade it (unless of course the base ugprades changed my mind).
So there you go, you've picked out your favorite upgrade paths for the Magic Element Skylanders. Interestingly, all 4 Magic Skylanders were deemed to upgrade the best via their Primary Attack's Upgrade Path.
Thanks to everyone who voted, this will now open up Blog Polls #18 and #19.

Blog Poll #17: What Would You Like to See Next?
Blog Poll #17 could get interesting...it asks, "What Would You Like to See Next?" in reference to what game you would like to see me record next.
I will say right now, I may or may not do what is decided in the poll. I had a few in mind, and then figured what the heck..I want to know what YOU would like to see.
Note that I do not list Skylanders 3DS...I think it would likely win in a land slide at this point...I am not ruling out recording it...in fact, once this poll closes, I might take the top 3-4 and toss in Skylanders 3DS to see how it fairs. The big issue is I will have to record it with a camera, there is no way for me to capture 3DS gameplay. Not only is that awkward, but there could be moments where you see more of a glare than the gameplay etc. But we will cross that bridge when we get there.
Here is a quick run down on the 10 nominees:
Kirby's Epic Yarn: I've done 2P up to maybe level 2...so it would basically be a blind playthrough...it is fun, has unique graphics, and I know several of you are fans of the series.
Mario Kart Wii: This is something I intended to already have done...some of my first posted videos were hand held cameras filming victory scenes on MKWii. I just played it again this past weekend for the first time in months.
Mario Strikers Charged: Something different, and something a few might enjoy. I've played 2P, WiFi, and solo matches...should be easy to get back i the groove.
Nerf N-Strike. I ordered this in right before Skylanders came. I've heard it is horrible, but I got it for $15 or so...This would be totally blind and from what I hear the game goes pretty quick.
Paper Mario: A friend downloaded this and had me help on a level...it is a classic and will never get old. It would be 99% Blind.
Skyward Sword: I got it on release day and have yet to really play it. A friend and I went thru the opening scene and got to where we are looking for the missing Loftwing...which is probably about 0.25% complete...consider it a BLIND playthrough. I think this game will be a lot of fun, bu some hard core Zelda fans might not like the blind approach.
Super Mario All Stars (Wii): Pure Nostalgia. I know this would prob get the fewest hits/views, but man I'd enjoy it. This is what I grew up with...and now it has remastered graphics and you can SAVE your progress. You have no clue what life was like as a gamer back in the day...got to World 8? Screw it up and you are done my friend. Bed time? Leave the console on overnight and you'll wake up to a buzz at 3 AM from your frozen console. Oh the memories...the agonizing memories...
Super Mario World: Possibly my favorite game and most certainly one of legendary status. I haven't played it in about 2 years, but I once knew the terrain like the back of my hand. I was the 7 year old that everyone had come over to "find the other exit" etc. I could literally play this game 20 years from now and it would be like the early 90s...good times!
Wii Sports Resort: Island Flyover: I love this segment of the game. I would basically come in on a new save file and go for all the stamps. This game is one of the reasons I wanted to start recording/uploading.
Wii Sports Resort: Swordplay: I would start this with the Swordplay Showdown...quite frankly because it is awesome. Where else can you slice and dice your way thru thousands of Miis? I am not sure if I'd record the other modes, but does it matter? Showdown is where it is at!
Well that about wraps it up...a little snip-it on each of the nominees if it helps you decide. I'm a big fan of walkthrus, but in all honesty, I also like recording "blind" playthroughs. There is something about a new game and experiencing it all first hand as you see it unfold. You might look like an idiot once a few people have played or get nasty comments from time to time saying "#*&@$ noob!" but who cares? Everyone was new to it at some point in time. In fact, if I am doing a blind playthrough, or really want to enjoy a game, I do not watch any gameplay footage (unless it is needed).
I do preview gameplay before making a purchase on some stuff, but I enjoy the "new" aspect as it can only be had once.
Well, go ahead and cast your votes...this poll will close Mach 6th, 2012 at 11:59 PM CST. Remember, I may not play the winner...I could play last place, something totally different, or go right down the list...It just all depends how it pans out.
Thanks for voting and let me know what you want to see the most!

Blog Poll #16: Which Version of Spyro is Your Favorite?
Blog Poll #16 tackles the tough question of "Which Version of Spyro is Your Favorite?" I can see this one being really tight or a blowout...
This one was on the agenda, but also goes out as a special request poll to SkylanderGirl87...I guess brilliant minds think alike :-)
Spyro, in regular form, is of course the famed dragon that had a host of games where he was the primary character, not just 1 of 32. He came with virtually all Starter Packs (Wii, PS3, XBOX, PC/MAC) so he is widely available and owned by most.
Dark Spyro is possibly less owned than Legendary Spyro (thanks to the recent re-release of the TRU Exclusive Triple Pack) and is only available (outside the second hand market) in the 3DS Starter Pack.
Legendary Spyro is highly sought after and boasts increased stats.
This should make for a pretty interesting race...will people vote on what they've got, what they want, aesthetics, value, or simply personal preference? We'll have to wait and see. I'm looking forward to knowing how this one pans out!

Blog Poll #15: Magic Element Upgrade Paths
Hey Everyone,
Last week I opened up a special request poll for Daphney on Twitter regarding Double Trouble's Upgrade Path...she is actually going to select the winning path when the poll closes (2 days). Since that was on the board, I figured it was only right to start in on "what upgrade path your prefer..." for the rest of the Magic Element Skylanders.
So there you go...those 3 polls (Spyro, Voodood, and Wrecking Ball) will basically constitute the make up of this poll...I will include Double Trouble's results here as well.
This series of polls will be open 5 days so act quick to cast your pick! Once closed, I'll go down the line by Element based on the order you selected in an earlier poll.

Blog Poll #14 Results: Who is Your Favorite Gold Skylander?
Blog Poll #14, "Who is Your Favorite Gold Skylander?" wrapped up with 106 votes, 1 more than the Silver Poll. This one was very close, with a mere 12 votes separating 1st and 3rd Place! Let's take a look:
1. Chop Chop 41 Votes (38%)
2. Flameslinger 36 Votes (33%)
3. Drill Sergeant 29 Votes (27%)
Man, what a race! Chop Chop once again came out on top (Favorite Undead Element and Favorite Legendary)!! He must have used an upgraded shield to fend of Flameslinger. His 41votes in this close poll nearly matched the top vote total from the much more wide open Silver poll. Whatever it is, Chop Chop is a strong contender in seemingly any poll. I think the fact he crosses an element of a knight, with a skeleton, and just so happens to have great upgrades along with stellar defense (rare) helps propel him to the top.
Flameslinger must have had that last arrow meet Chop Chop's sheild as he finished 5 votes back. Flameslinger is a great character, nearly beat Sunburn in the Fire Element Poll, and blasted Eruptor, our Silver Winner, out of the water in that same poll. I think part of that is due to there only being 3 Fire Element Skylanders out. There are still a lot of people without Ignitor, and the speed of Flameslinger gives him an edge over Eruptor.
Drill Sergeant was at the back of the pack, again where I expected him. I do want to point out he was close. He was only 12 back of Chop Chop and 7 behind Flameslinger. Those are solid numbers for a character who hasn't gotten a lot of love. His early status as a Walmart/Sam's Club Exclusive, made him sought after and very hard to find. With activision rescinding on that mark and releasing single packs he has been easier to come by...the Triple Pack really seems to be what folks go for...as it packages DS, Whirlwind (counterpart of DS via Target exclusive), and of course the new Wave 3 Double Trouble. He is a solid character, but I would bet most Portal Masters have not put him thru the paces like Chop Chop and Flameslinger.
All in all, this Gold Medal was earned by Chop Chop! Thanks to everyone who voted!
