Animal Crossing Pocket Camp Reveal
So, the big Animal Crossing Direct just wrapped up...before anyone gets their hopes up about a New Leaf update for 3DS, or a brand new installment to drop on the Switch (which will consume the life of many fans), Nintendo stuck to their guns and ONLY spoke of their new mobile title.
They even had this swanky disclaimer in the moments before going live with the official presentation:
Yep, zero surprises or allusions to a future console release, just mobile information.
What is the Game Called?
So, let's start with the basics...what is the new game? It is called Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp...which while it is pretty basic, actually fits quite well in my opinion.
When Can I Play?
The game is slated for release in "Late November" and will drop on both Android and iOS devices.
You can even sign up for notice as to when exactly it will release:
There has been no mention as to if the game will be free-to-play, or cost $9.99 etc. I am personally inclined to think that it will be free as that allows Nintendo to tap the mobile market for causal players who could eventually convert into fans on the 3DS/Switch side of the equation.
Wait, it is Mobile...Are There Micro-Transactions? Do I hear Tom Nook Laughing?
There is also a very real chance that Tom Nook is reading this and anxiously waiting to take our hard earned cash. The game doesn't look to have a forced usage of real world currency, but in addition to the Bells we all know and love, they game utilizes Leaf Tickets.
Leaf Tickets
Leaf Tickets can be earned by doing in-game tasks, but they can also be purchased with your hard earned, real world cash. Want a pool for your campsite? You can pay to have it sooner. Need x Wood and Y Fabric for that dreamy new couch...you could grind it out, or you can pay up to have instant gratification by way of Leaf Tickets.
So, uh...What Do You Do in Pocket Camp?
To put it as simply as possible, imagine a hybrid between New Leaf and Happy Home Designer. The latest New Leaf update brought in the campers and camp site. Pocket Camp plays that up and puts you in charge as the Campsite Manager. What you do and what you have on site will influence which anipals can and will stop by. I realize not everyone has played Happy Home Designer, but this concept is very similar in practice.
All the charm and customization you know and love from recent installments looks to be in place as well. You create your character, can change clothes, and much of the furniture looked familiar. You essentially look to have the task of gathering materials to build the furniture that attracts your favorite villagers. The auxiliary goal being to customize not only your campsite, but your personal camper.
Pimp My Camper
Something brand new to Pocket Camp is the OK Motors crew. This trio will trick out your camper, which you can basically see as the equivalent to your home in New Leaf. You can pick different designs, change colors, and of course...expand with a loft. The entire progression to this point seems so linear now...almost seems as if Nintendo had this on the agenda 4 years ago and we are just now able to connect the dots...very well played I must say!
Why Do I Need a Camper if I Manage a Campsite?
So your campsite looks to be where your former villager friends will stop by, but you've got to have wheels to get around, man! Your camper, in addition to being something you can stylize for yourself in your style (as opposed to doing up a campsite for say Curt, Whitney, and Bettina), will be used to hit up other destinations including: an island, a beach, a forest, and a river!
Friendship Points
You know how Stardew Valley gives you a heart level with all the residents of Pelican Town? Well, previous Animal Crossing games you just kind of new you were "best buds" with other villagers based on how they speak to you, act around you, and what they gift you etc...their letters in the mail kind of helped too. Well, Pocket Camp has hit what is sure to be a homerun with players by adding Friendship Points. It works just like you think it would, and I can foresee it being very much at the heart of the addiction.
I Still Want to Know More!
Well, I could talk for hours, but all I know is what is in the special Animal Crossing Direct and on the official website, which I will link for you now:
I will say that a "Throw Net" and "Honey Pot" have been added. The Throw Net looks to bring up a lot of fish in one cast and the honey pot allows you to fill a hollow stump to easily catch bugs. Would have loved both in New Leaf!
My First Impression
I saw a lot of people voicing the same thing in comments and on Twitter..."This looks TOO GOOD to be a mobile game!" I am right there with them...in fact, I said it before I realized everyone else was thinking the same thing. This looks every bit as polished as New Leaf, or Happy Home Designer. The charm, the simplicity, the cuteness (or whatever intangible you would call it) is all there. It looks more like a well polished, staple release than a mere "mobile game."
I think most people in this audience are like myself and in addition to being mildly obsessive with Animal Crossing, we also all share a very common sentiment that mobile games just kind of suck. My experience is they are always overyhyped, fall short of expectations, are buggy, are way too grindy if you don't want to shell out cash a few pennies at a time that eventually amounts to 2-3 times what a $60 release copy would run, and that ultimately get abandoned. Pocket Camp looks like the complete opposite!
I have to say, my biggest complain is that this isn't on the Switch. I've said it since we knew what the Switch was..."Animal Crossing is going to be HUGE on the Switch!" I hope this is a short term filler for a proper follow up to New Leaf. Heck, I would even play this on the 3DS over a mobile phone if given the choice.
The bottom line remains...regardless of if this was intended for PC, Switch, 3DS, Wii U, or mobile...it looks REALLY GOOD! It also looks really fun.
I wouldn't say I'm cheap, but I am thrifty...I have ZERO plans to shell out for Leaf Tickets. I would much rather keep my $7 and wait for Cyrus to have 3 days to finish the pool...I mean, that is about 90 days quicker than real life anyway.
Pocket Camp should be a nice medium to pull in more casual fans to the Animal Crossing umbrella, and in my opinion, that camp has a better chance of being retained due to just how low-key of a demand the game has. You never feel pressure, you feel calm and relaxed when you play. If millions of people could get addicted to games where you pop bubbles, or wacky rip-offs of Tetris, I have no doubt those same people will get drawn in by the cute and unsuspecting aura that is the vortex of Animal Crossing.
amiibo and Animal Crossing amiibo Card Support
I was personally hoping to see a tie in with the Animal Crossing amiibo Cards. Who knows, maybe they will save that for a later announcement, or update. The latest iteration was extremely limited and actually focused on the campers!! It just makes too much sense to not pair the cards and amiibo with this release. I responded to Isabelle on Twitter with as much and the response was VERY emphatic that my sentiments were not alone, lol.
I wanted to take the time to write this out...I'll be voicing it pretty much verbatim into a video, but I still prefer old fashioned articles. The game looks fantastic, too good to be mobile and too good to not be on Switch. I guess I'll just hold out hope it is only a taste of what is to come with a hopeful Switch release of a follow up to New Leaf!
Let me know your thoughts and I'll hopefully catch you around my campsite and get kudos!

Stardew Valley on the Nintendo Swtich - First Look!
Warning: Stardew Valley is addictive and can consume your life.
Only proceed if you are looking for a great time!
First Look: Stardew Valley on the Nintndo Switch
Well, it finally happened...my addiction has come full circle. What seems like forever ago, I was hooked on Animal Crossing New Leaf. I played daily. I had to...the flowers, the errands, seasonal bugs & fish, new items to collect, and heaven forbid one of my favorite villagers contemplate moving!
It was a vicious cycle...long hours at work, late dinners, and other inconveniences of adulthood brought forth little free time for a social life, human interaction, or even taking care of yourself and getting adequate rest. So, how do you unwind? By doing daily chores and interacting with villagers in Animal Crossing New Leaf! Doesn't exactly make the most sense on a purely practical level, but what ACNL provided to players was fun. Just good old fashioned, simple, fun. You can't play the game wrong, there are no lives, time passes just like in the real world, and somehow...someway, there is a soothing tranquility about it all. The game's charm, simple, yet complex dynamics, and euphoric relief of stress just add up to a very well crafted game capable of blissfully and efortlessly consuming your time.
I got to a point with Animal Crossing New Leaf where I had pretty much done everything...but I was still playing. In fact, I am afraid I might still be in the same vicious, but beautiful cycle if it were not for Stardew Valley.
Wait, wait, wait you say. New Leaf was on a 3DS...Stardew Valley just came out on the Switch, what's the deal? Paid endorsement? Oh no, nothing of the sort. The portability of the 3DS played a huge role in ACNL's ability to seize your life. On a road trip? No problem! Out of town at a hotel? The 3DS is easy to haul, doesn't require a tv, and certainly didn't need multiple cables knotting up in your luggage. That layover at the airport...it sucks for most people...but not you! You can flip open the 3DS and make time fly by! Speaking of that, ACNL made 2-4 hour fligths seem more like minutes. But none of this tells you how Stardew Valley broke the addiction to ACNL.
Well, I will tell you. I bought Stardew Valley when it came out on Steam. Yes, that Steam...PC Gaming. Although Stardew Valley draws heavily from Harvest Moon, a series which I shockingly have never played, I paralleled it with New Leaf. You have a day at your disposal, you can spend it however you like, but there are things that need to be done: tend to the crops, forage, go mining if the stars align...and of course, you have a quirky cast of residents to get to know and develop a relationship with...heck, you can even marry!
I became so absorbed in Stardew Valley, I spent my late nights at home at my desk navigating mouse and keyboard thru the charm that permeates Pelican Town. All the key elements that made Animal Crossing New Leaf such an enthralling experience were present. The addition of combat, courting a partner, and having more of a direct tie-in to upgrades quite literally making you more productive and thus profitable, the game pulled me in and hasn't let go.
Stardew Valley (PC) was easily my 2016 game of the year. Yeah, there were bigger sellers, far more popular games, and plenty of AAA titles from the major studios. But Stardew Valley is what brought me in and kept me playing (still to this day, in fact!). The work of one man, Eric Barone, who most of you simply know as ConcernedApe. He came up with the game, put it together, and made it shine. The game's publisher, Chucklefish Games, was tasked with getting the smash PC hit out to consoles.
I had always dreamed of a 3DS version...even the Wii U's GamePad would provide an interesting experience. However, as fate would have it, the Switch came alone...
The Nintendo Switch isn't quite the pocket friendly companion as a good, ol' 3DS, but it is very portable (some people have phones nearing this size and most everyone else was toting around a camera, or tablet of great proportions). Plus, the Switch is much more powerful than the 3DS. Handheld....check! Table Top with Joy-Cons...check! Docked and projecting to a huge HD TV...check! One system hits all the marks. Whether you want to unwind in the comfort of your own bed, lounge in the recliner, or pass some time between classes, or lunch at work...the Switch hits those same sweet spots as the 3DS.
Coupling Stardew Valley with the Nintendo Switch is a no brainer and something I had longed to see come to reality. The team at Chucklefish made this happen and it is such a treat for Switch Owners! As is often the case with console gamers, you tend to have the Nintendo, PlayStation, and Xbox camps. They are typically very loyal, and I would say the majority likely stick to their favorite console, with a few crossing over to enjoy exclusive to a couple of consoles. Some smaller percentage also games on the computer. So what does this mean? It means that up until earlier this year no one outside of the PC side of the hobby had been fortunate enough to enjoy the Indie masterpiece that is Stardew Valley!
While my first experience (nearing 150 Episodes on my YouTube Channel) sort of set the stage, I can't deny the Switch's advantages. I love my computer...heck, I even built it with the parts of my own selection. However, I can't easily lug the case around, let alone a monitor AND peripherals! The Switch travels effortlessly. And although I'm sure folks do use a wireless keyboard and mouse from bed, I don't. The Switch can give me the same gameplay ability as the 3DS!
The bottom line is that although it came last, the Nintendo Switch version of Stardew Valley holds the portability and ease of access titles that no PC, or console (regardless of their prowess) can match! That portability coupled with the same charming gameplay we came to know and love in Stardew Valley on the PC makes for one hard hitting combination!
Although I am partial to the keyboard and mouse (you know, after using them for hundreds of hours of gameplay on the computer), the Switch version plays beautifully in its' own right. Those new to the series will simply learn the controls as they come...for someone switching from PC it'll be the same learning curve, just with the additional knowledge of any differences.
The game boasts the same features as all other installments and I can tell you right now...Stardew Valley and the Nintendo Switch makes for a gorgeous package!
If you are a Switch owner you owe it to yourself to pick this game up...you will NOT regret it! The game is so peaceful, such a change of pace, and so enjoyable the only thing you are at risk of is developing a small addiction...and as gamers, there isn't more of a stamp of approval.
Stardew Valley was sent out by Chucklefish Games and I sincerely thank them for the review copy! However, in order to be 100% transparent, this was a must purchase and had been on my radar since my first hours with the game on PC. I've had an awful lot of viewers eagerly waiting for the Nintendo release of Stardew Valley and as of Thursday, October 5th the wait is over!
I fully back this game and give it the coveted 1ofWiisdom Seal of Approval! If you happen to be an Xbox, or PlayStation gamer, I highly recommend you pick the game up as well. Although you will be missing out on the portability the Switch offers, it is an incredible gameplay experience that is sure to bring a smile to your face.
Well, I've got to run...the plants aren't going to water themselves (yet!).

New Series - Archaica: The Path of Light
What can I say....the game looked cool! If you liked The Room and The Room Two, you will likely enjoy this game. It is more of a puzzler than a mystery based game, but the graphics are fantastic!
I've only completed the "tutorial" portion of the game and will gauge interest in the series before deciding how frequently to upload. It is also a stream candidate.
Check it out and let me know what you think!

New Series - Wii Sports Resort!
Welcome back...to 2009! Wii Sports Resort is a game I have always wanted to upload...in fact, I stopped playing it in order to do just that. I never really had the time to play it, but wanted to rectify that.
My favorites, from back in the day, included Swordplay (Showdown and Duel), and Island Flyover in the Airsports section. I plan to upload all of those, and possibly dive into Cycling.
If the series does well and people want to see more, I can make that happen as well. This game is a true gem and Island Flyover is one of the most relaxing non-Animal Crossing games I have ever played (I still wish you could unlock longer, or unlimited flight times tho!).
Part 1 is already out and has been very well received....it seems many of you have the same fond memories of this classic Wii game! Thanks for your support and stay tuned for more!

The Room: Complete Blind Playthru
The Room: Complete Blind Playthru
Here is my complete blind playthrough of Fireproof Games, "The Room."
Welcome to The Room!
A mysterious invitation leads to the attic of an abandoned house. In the room is a cast-iron safe laced with strange carvings and on top, a note from your distant companion. It promises something ancient and astonishing concealed in the iron chamber - you need only find a way in.
Although this game is divided into "Chapters" I will be breaking it down into Parts (confusing, but that is all part of the mystery, right?!). Some of the Chapters would be quite long and rather than upload a 90 minute video, I'd prefer to do (3) 30 minute installments etc. I'll try to denote what Chapter is featured in each Part...catching on yet?
I hope you enjoy...if you would like to see me upload The Room Two, please let me know!!

Hidden Folks - The Complete Blind Playthru
Here is the playlist for Hidden Folks...this is a nice, simple game that reminds me of the old Highlights magazines when I was little...with a bit of Where's Waldo, just with the added madness of animation. That said, we played thru the entire game...I'll try to add on any DLC/Updates as time allows. Hope you enjoy!

July 2017 Channel Update with Shotgun Farmers
Hey Everyone,
If you are reading this, you probably took the link in the video...you are smart...you can read this in FRACTIONS of the time it would take to watch the video (there really are some great kill streaks in there tho!).
This video kind of sucks...I wanted to combine a Channel Update with gameplay and apparently I should have recorded the gameplay with no commentary and then voiced over it, live and learn.
That said, we did get a lot of sweet kill streaks!
This video is actually a perfect representation of my current predicament. Work has been insanely busy and as such my already sparse free time has really dried up. I always like to upload 2 videos a day to allow for more diverse content and simply to progress thru playthrus a bit quicker. As things stand right now, and at least for a few more weeks, 1 video a day remains the most likely scenario.

Minelogix Stream Team on Mixer!
Hey Everyone!
If you feel like reading, go right ahead...if not, just take this link to get a feel for the Minelogix Stream Team on Mixer! It is obviously a work in progress, but I think it has a lot of potential.
This is something I have been meaning to do for quite some time...
Beam, a streaming site I really liked the interface of, was purchased by Microsoft awhile back and more recently had a revamp and name change...the site is now known as Mixer.
Mixer, which kept the interface I love so much, is integrated into both Xbox One and Windows (PC) streaming. This is a very nice asset and makes streaming much more accessible for those outside the loop.
In addition to very low latency (ie you are much closer to the real time action), Mixer introduced a really cool "co-op" stream where you can have up to four people streaming on the same channel. Case in point, if myself, BlackPants, Omenix, and Cellcia were all on the Minelogix Server and streaming to Mixer you could go to any one of our channels and watch all four perspectives...pretty cool, huh?!
Likewise, their pleasant User Interface allows VIEWERS to earn "Sparks." Sparks are an on-site currency that you literally earn while you watch streams...doesn't that make sense? When a streamer "goes interactive" you can use your Sparks to cheer them on and highlight comments etc. It is like Twitch, but you didn't have to shell out cash.
In addition to this making streaming more fun for the viewer AND streamer, I like the setup.
I streamed once on Beam when Twitch was acting up. My only real complaints remain the lack of a direct export to YouTube and the lack of a video editor/highlight tool. To the best of my knowledge, both are said to be in the works.
As many of you know, I had long touted how much I liked the Beam interface and wished more people would try it...well, that shot in the arm came when Microsoft began integrating it into their consoles.
On the flip side you have Twitch. I primarily stream Skylanders there and they give the game NO LOVE. I'm not talking about featuring it ahead of Overwatch, Hearthstone, or Player Uknown's Battlegrounds...I mean that Skylanders doesn't even get game art! Seriously! Out of all the games, only Giants has proper game art. That is pretty sad imo. Twitch also tends to be a little over-reaching for myself and many others. When you are partnered you basically have to sign off that you won't stream elsewhere (see also YouTube and a few other outlets). While I liked the idea of diversifying when I began on Twitch, I streamed regularly for years and only mustered 100+ followers.
I polled viewers (on YouTube of course) and they tended towards preferring YouTube by a wide margin. Granted, when I had started, YT streaming wasn't really a thing. I tried it out (due to Twitch pushing some things I don't agree with) and instantly had not only more viewers, but a very common comment of, "Hey, I never knew that you did live streams!" Freakin-a! All those years, people would have watched, but didn't know I streamed on Twitch. I did my best to make it obvious...end slides on videos, links in description boxes, and of course tweeting. Still, if you are embeded in the YouTube eco-system, you might still remain oblivious to my outside dealings. This is an obvious advantage to streaming on YouTube.
However, there are still a few shortcomings there. Anytime I stream a Nintendo game...it is a copyright nightmare! Despite being a member of the Nintendo Content Creator Program, the games get flagged immediately and a series of 14 or so e-mails heads your direction.
I still, for whatever reason, have not figured this out, but when I stream games from the Big N, they wind up archived very weirdly. If I do NBA Playgrounds, it goes right to my Video Manager and is ready for release as soon as it processes. The Nintendo games are filed away to the point where sometimes I can't get to them. Then when you do, and you want to edit them into smaller clips for a couple of videos (ie dividing 2 hours of Mario Kart into 4 videos, or a month of Animal Crossing into weekly installments) you have to deal with their Video Editor. It isn't bad, but it certainly ins't good. Twitch does have the slight edge here, although with any effort at all, YouTube could (and should) easily over take them.
With that said, I really want to stream Mario Kart and Yoshi's Wooly World, and more Breath of the Wild, but it is a total pain to deal with that on the YT side. This is where Mixer may come in...
I haven't tried it yet, but as soon as things slow down I hope to stream a little Nintendo action to Mixer. I will then try downloading it and editing it before uploading (totally not ideal for someone like me with bad internet), but having a local copy to edit will save TONS of time over YouTube's lackluster video editor. It just sucks that the quality of the stream still won't be great (see also my bad internet).
It sucks to leave years of streaming and those hard earned 100+ followers on Twitch, but instead of just sticking to games, they tend to feel the need to push divisive social/political agendas, and I have a hard time tying myself into that mess. Plus, I haven't forgotten that Amazon totally screwed me over on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and their "guaranteed day of release delivery." If you didn't know, Amazon bought Twitch fairly recently. And yes, in the past I was a proud proponent of Amazon, as they have continued to grow, however, I feel that the customer service I admired early on has become increasingly lack luster...I hope that changes as they are a great source for some hard to find products.
Ironically, I actually think I'd qualify for the new Twitch affiliate program. That said, I've never been all about the money (YouTube added Super Chat to their live stream interface to combat Twitch and I have yet to see someone use it), and I really, really don't like the way Twitch handles it. The thought of someone paying real money for glittery bits to throw in my beggar's cup is just kind of weird. It makes a donation to show your support/appreciation for the streamer into more of a, "Oh you poor thing" as you drop change in a cup. Most people don't argue with free money, but I just find the whole setup odd, and I'd much rather have people rewarded for watching the streams in the way Mixer has setup. Also of note, no one really seems to donate on YouTube, it is like it is frowned upon because everyone just assumes if you are making videos on YouTube, you are an undeserving millionaire. I don't get that as it couldn't be farther from the truth for 99% of YouTubers, particularly gamers, but whatever. On Twitch, people throw money around like it is a requirement.
Mixer just fits my style so much better than Twitch. You watch the stream, you get on-site currency (see also: FREE) and then YOU can use that to interact with me. Why does no one else do that?
I still plan to stream on YouTube, but I am wanting to try a few games out on Mixer. If it is a pain to download footage, edit it, and upload it to YouTube, I might change course a bit...but tentatively I am thinking about trying to stream Minecraft, Forza, and possibly some Nintendo titles to Mixer.
Again, way back when I started on Twitch (I remember when it was Justin.tv btw), my idea was to diversify from YouTube in the event things went downhill...well they did and my efforts to diversify were for nothing. Everyone always raves about "the Twitch community" but I honestly just felt like I was just streaming...and my viewers were about 99% subscribers from YouTube (again, a lot of this has to do with the games I play and the fact that they'd be buried on the Twitch listings, but still...if a Triple A game from Activision, a major publisher, can't get game art, I don't think they really care about myself, or anyone else streaming Skylanders.
All that aside, Mixer being tide into the Microsoft family of services appeals to me...Microsoft has Minecraft and Forza, so it makes sense to start there and see how it goes. Again, I might also do some Nintendo action on Mixer to avoid a round of copyright emails. I wish my internet was on-par with others, but it isn't so I can't do super HD streams. I max it out for what internet I have and then take it in stride.
That said, as of now, early morning July 4th, 2017 I have set up a Minelogix Team page on Mixer and I hope to give it a go with some other members. It just makes sense given the built in integration and I am hoping it is optimized so I might be able to squeeze out 720 HD for the streams.
As always thanks for your support! If my internet continues to suck, I'll just keep on recording offline and uploading as I've done for years...if something pans out on this front hopefully I can stream a little more frequently again.
Hope you all have a great Independence Day!
If you feel like reading, go right ahead...if not, just take this link to get a feel for the Minelogix Stream Team on Mixer! It is obviously a work in progress, but I think it has a lot of potential.

Worldwide Reveal of Multiplayer and First Multiplayer Gameplay Premiere for
Highly-Anticipated Call of Duty: WWII
Destiny 2 Presents All-New, Action-Packed Story and Hands-On with Cooperative and Competitive Multiplayer Activities for a Global Community
Crash Bandicoot® N. Sane Trilogy Remastered in HD for the
New Generation and Nostalgic Fans
SANTA MONICA, Calif.—June 8, 2017 – Activision is set to kick off this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) with global debuts from the industry’s leading franchises. Beginning Tuesday, June 13, at the LA Convention Center, attendees will experience the first gameplay premiere of Call of Duty®: WWII multiplayer, the new character-driven story and activities of Destiny 2, and the reimagined and beloved Crash Bandicoot® N. Sane Trilogy.
“Some of the most talked about and highly anticipated entertainment experiences of the year aren’t playing at your local movie theater, inside a stadium or on the airwaves; they are happening at E3, as interactive entertainment takes center stage of pop culture,” said Eric Hirshberg, CEO of Activision. “And we are thrilled to be front and center with two of the most hotly anticipated games of the year, Call of Duty: WWII and Destiny 2, both of which will be playable at E3. We’ve been pouring our hearts and souls into these games and we can’t wait for our fans to get their hands on them!”
Call of Duty: WWII marks a return to the fast action, grounded roots of Call of Duty®. E3 2017 celebrates the world reveal of the all-new multiplayer. Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: WWII offers a host of new Multiplayer modes, features and gameplay innovations set in iconic World War II locations in the European theater of war.
Players will enlist in the conflict by selecting from five iconic World War II Divisions, in a fundamentally new way to invest in your multiplayer career. Join the Airborne Division, the first to the fight, where you move fast and stay quiet; the Mountain Division, where a sharp shooter focus is precise and deadly; the Infantry Division as the tip of the spear; the Armored Division, which brings the heaviest firepower; or the Expeditionary Force who is packing heat with incendiary shells. In addition to the core Multiplayer experience available for hands-on gameplay at E3, players will also play War Mode, developed in partnership with Raven Software, a narrative-based mode pitting Allied versus Axis soldiers in team-driven battles for key strategic objectives.
Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer also features Headquarters, a franchise first reimagining of the Call of Duty Multiplayer ecosystem, giving the community entirely new ways to connect, compete and engage.
Call of Duty: WWII pre-orders at participating retailers include access to the Private Beta, available first on PlayStation®4, scheduled for later this year. At E3, players can get their first PS4 Pro hands-on experience with the new Multiplayer at the Activision booth #1001 in the South Hall and in the PlayStation booth #4322 in the West Hall.
Following the epic, global Destiny 2 Gameplay Premiere which took place in May, Activision and Bungie will showcase Destiny 2, providing an array of hands-on experiences for attendees where they can play the all-new story campaign as well as competitive, and cooperative multiplayer gameplay. In addition, the playable debut of a brand-new Guardian subclass, the Arcstrider Hunter, will be available, whose “super” ability is to summon an Arc-empowered staff to be used for close-quarters melee combat. Attendees are invited to play Destiny 2 on PS4 Pro in the Activision booth #1001 in the South Hall and PlayStation’s booth #4322 in the West Hall, and on PC in NVIDIA’s booth #5230 in the West Hall.
Crash is back, as Activision is rolling out the orange carpet at E3! The iconic marsupial of gaming will make his appearance at E3 where players can play new levels in HD from the remastered Crash Bandicoot® N. Sane Trilogy. More innovations to the franchise will be announced at the show, and players can experience the fun first-hand by visiting the N. Sane Crash Experience in the South Hall lobby for hands-on gameplay, photo opportunities and daily giveaways.
Activision is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI), Activision’s E3 2017 slate includes:

New and existing players will experience gameplay innovations to the world including a dramatic story campaign, new destinations to explore, “Guided Games” bringing players together, and more. Destiny 2 will be available on PlayStation®4 systems with additional, timed exclusive* content, Xbox One (PlayStation®Plus or Xbox Live Gold subscription, respectively, required for significant features), and for the first time-ever, available on PC at retail and as the first third-party game to be offered digitally via Battle.net®, Blizzard Entertainment's online gaming service. Xbox Design Lab Custom Xbox One Controller Showcase
Unboxing & Overview
What: Xbox Design Lab Custom Xbox One Controller
Where: Xbox Design Lab (https://xboxdesignlab.xbox.com)
How Much: $64.99 Sale Price (MSRP $79.99)
Laser Etching: $9.99
Shipping: FREE
Lead Time: 1 Week from Placing the Order until Delivery!
So, no need to beat around the bush...this is definitely somewhat of a luxury purchase. You can comb around online and find new, standard black or white Xbox One controllers for around $45 if you are diligent and catch a break. The standard issue price is $59.99.
If you step up to the "custom" designs from Microsoft you will find that prices can range from around $50 on closeout pricing up towards $75, with $69.99 being the MSRP. These include the Dawn Shadow, Ocean Shadow, Dusk Shadow (loved that one!), and the special issue stuff like Winter Forces, Gears of War, Halo, etc.
Basically, you can go standard for $60, special edition from Microsoft for $70, or custom from the Design Lab for $80.
I was at a point where my left analog stick got so bad, a new controller became mandatory. I will admit, I had my eye on the Dusk Shadow controller for a long time...sadly, they are no longer in production and the resultant stock is basically scalped. The Ocean Shadow, Blue, and White controllers all appealed to me, but for just slightly more I could go full custom...If you know me, that means I will save the money and take the off the shelf option and keep $10-$20 in my pocket.
However, as fate would have it, Xbox ran the first ever sale on Design Lab controllers. The offer was $15 off which brought the $79.99 down to $64.99...$5 less than any of the "Shadow" controllers, and only $5 more than a plain-jane Black, or White controller.
Since I do this as a side hobby, enjoy showcase videos, and came up with a design I liked well enough to justify spending the money...I went with their sale and now have this beauty in-hand!
It seems slightly lighter than my original Xbox One controller, has a very subtle texture to the back (which I like), and most importantly has a left analog stick that doesn't track straight up, lol.
My build broke down as follows:
Body, D-Pad, and Thumbsticks: Photon Blue
Bumpers & Triggers, Back: Robot White
ABXY + View & Menu: Black on White
I wanted to do Gray on White for the Buttons, but in the preview it looked a bit washed out...I think the high def preview on the following page would have better showcased it, but I had already decided on the White on Black.
Overall I think it turned out great! I liked my creation well enough to justify the additional $9.99 to add "1ofWiisdom" laser etching on the front. I figure if it ever gets stole, the pawn show buying it should raise eyebrows, or assuming the thief is a fan of my design and keeps it...will at least have to deal with it having my name on it, lol. It was tempting to leave the "Your Message" that is the default prompt, but I held out and went for my YouTube username.
Given the sale, I was able to score a true custom controller, complete with laser etching for just under $75...not a bad deal given the pricing nowadays!
The Design Lab is definitely a cool service, and I'm glad I got to finally create and order a controller. I placed my order early Monday morning (the last day of the sale), and got the controller exactly one week later. That is way faster than expected and I can't complain about that given it was also FREE Shipping. The $10-$20 you save there can't be forgotten either.
Moving forward, should I ever have the left analog stick fail again, I would be hard pressed not to go custom thru the Design Lab again...I might hold out for a sale, but it is hard to argue with picking your colors and having your name, or Gamertag etched in the controller! It would be great to see Nintendo and Sony follow Microsoft's lead and allow players the option to expend a little more for their controller and having something very cool to enjoy and show off!
Let me know what you think of my design and feel free to post up some of your creations...especially if they are in hand! That said, here are a few glamour shots from my build:

Production on the third season of “Skylanders Academy”—the first television series developed and produced by Activision Blizzard Studios—will begin in February, with animation again created by the renowned TeamTO studio in France.

Personally, I kind of feel burned from jumping in on launch day with both the Nintendo Wii U and Microsoft Xbox One...both have been great to me, I just paid full price, got no discounts or freebies (free controllers, Xbox Live etc.), and ultimately think a bundle would be the best bang-for-the-buck. However, a new Mario Kart, or perhaps more importantly, Super Mario Galaxy 3 could easily sway that mindset.

My Thoughts: The only periphereal that doesn't seem super high is the JoyCon, but realistically I would have pegged it at $30-40 max, regardless of the technology. If you are buying a JoyCon, you already have a Switch etc. There is also a wheel, but I left it off because there was no image and I have no clue what it is, lol.

-My Thoughts: It is basically Xbox Live. It is a great addition, but sad we have to pay for it. The free games are a nice touch, but are they pre-selected, user's choice, and what happens if you don't renew...do you lose access to the "free" games you got while paying, or are they forever your own to play any time?
